Maths Teaching AssistantAre you passionate about helping students succeed in Maths?We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Intervention Support Assistant to join the team at a client secondary school in Old Trafford starting in January. As a Maths Intervention Specialist, you will work closely with students who require additional support in Maths to help them improve their skills and achieve academic success.This position will run full‑time from Monday 5th January until July 2026. Successful applicants who get on well in their school placement may be offered a permanent contract with the school.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide one‑on‑one or small group support to students struggling with Maths.Assist the Maths department in planning and delivering targeted intervention sessions.Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.Create engaging and interactive learning resources to support student learning.Collaborate with teachers to develop individualized learning plans for students.RequirementsA strong command of Mathematics.Previous experience working with secondary school students is desirable.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to motivate and inspire students.A patient and empathetic approach to supporting student learning.QualificationsGCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.Relevant teaching assistant qualification is advantageous but not essential.To apply for the position of Maths Intervention Teaching Assistant at our client secondary school, please submit your CV and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why you are passionate about supporting students in Maths.All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
