Responsibilities Implement the recruitment strategy for target markets across the UK Design interactive online and offline content for young people, families and teachers Deliver engaging presentations and workshops for prospective students, applicants and teachers Manage a network of contacts in schools and colleges to promote recruitment activities Effectively evaluate activities to track and monitor engagement from students Network with colleagues in other HEIs to share best practice Attend recruitment fairs and provide accurate information on the University and its courses to prospective students Research trends and best practice across the UK education sector Provide professional advice to academic teams on their outreach activities Maintain good data compliant with GDPR standards Follow safeguarding procedure and pass a DBS check Undertake any other responsibilities as required by the Student Recruitment and Outreach Manager Qualifications & Skills Degree or equivalent experience in education Experience delivering student recruitment/outreach activities in higher education Experience devising and delivering presentations, workshops and sessions for secondary school students Experience working with young people, parents and/or advisers Experience networking and building professional relationships Knowledge of issues facing the UK Higher Education sector Knowledge of national agendas in relation to recruitment of students (including non‑traditional backgrounds) Knowledge of undergraduate admissions procedures and practices Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent presentation skills Familiarity with standard Microsoft Office packages and ability to learn new software Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure Excellent attention to detail Ability to engage and build relationships with key contacts (prospective students, teachers, parents, careers advisers, agents) Ability to deliver and receive feedback effectively Ability to use initiative to solve everyday problems Ability to work flexibly and support colleagues in other teams Ability to be creative and innovative Ability to work under pressure Special Requirements DBS Clearance Willingness and ability to travel to off‑site locations Willingness to work evenings and weekends Full, clean UK driving licence Willingness to schedule leave outside busy periods Benefits Generous holiday entitlement (30 days per annum, plus bank holidays and closure days) Hybrid working (dependent on business needs) Training and development support opportunities Contributory pension scheme Discounted gym membership for the on‑site gym Range of staff discounts with major retailers Contact & Application For further information about this role please contact Rhys Thomas at Rhys.Thomas@bnu.ac.uk All applications are to be made online.
