About the role Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and families? Do you believe in early intervention and holistic support? If so, we invite you to join our dedicated team as a Family Help Worker, contributing to the delivery of the Families First initiative. Responsibilities Play a vital role in supporting children, young people, and their families to overcome challenges and build resilience. Work within the Families First framework and provide targeted early help to prevent issues from escalating, ensuring families receive the right support at the right time. Work collaboratively with schools, health services, social care, and community organisations to develop and deliver tailored support plans. Your work will be guided by a strengths‑based approach, empowering families to achieve positive outcomes. Support children and young people who are subject to a Child in Need plan or who require a Team Around the Family approach. The successful applicant for this post will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The costs for the DBS are paid by us. Please note you will need to have a full driving licence in order to travel around the county. Qualifications Relevant qualification in social work, youth work, education, or a related field (Level 3 or above). Experience working with children, young people, and families in a support or intervention role. Knowledge of safeguarding, child development, and multi‑agency working. Understanding of the Families First initiative and its principles. Excellent communication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills. Good IT skills, Disability Confident.
