Job Title: Social Worker - Through Care
Location: Oakham, Rutland
Salary: £35,412 - £42,839 per annum plus a £3,000 Market Supplement
Job Description:
Liquid Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join a supportive and progressive local authority team in Oakham. In this role, you will focus on delivering high-quality statutory support to children and young people who are looked after (LAC) and those making the critical transition out of care. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career within a close-knit team operating in the beautiful county of Rutland.
What will your responsibilities be?
In this permanent, full-time role, you will:
- Provide high-quality social work support to children and young people in care and those leaving care.
- Build strong, trusting relationships that empower young people to achieve independence and positive outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, and partner agencies to ensure the best possible support network.
- Contribute to care planning, assessments, and reviews, ensuring that every child's voice is heard and respected.
- Play a vital role in helping young people transition successfully into adulthood.
The Ideal Candidate:
Our Client is looking for a candidate who is highly skilled and knowledgeable in the following areas:
- Knowledge of Child-care legislation.
- Skilled in the management of risk and assessment of children's needs.
- Great communication skills, able to explain complicated information simply.
- Knowledge of the issues that affect parenting capacity and the impact of deprivation on child development.
- Experience of Signs of Safety methodology.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this position, you must hold:
- A recognised Social Work qualification (e.g., BA, MA, DipSW).
- Current registration with Social Work England (SWE).
