We are working closely alongside with local authority in Rutland to assist with the appointment of a Community Support Worker on a 1-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay: 13.05- 16.56 per hour Summary: The Community Support Worker - Day Opportunities role for Rutland County Council is focused on providing essential care and support to adults with a learning disability within a day service setting. The core purpose is to enable service users to engage in meaningful activities employment learning and education and to access the local community as independently as possible. The role requires providing personal care including assistance with washing dressing and medication. This is categorized as a Social Care Non-Qualified position. Responsibilities: Provide care and support to adults with a learning disability within a Day Service setting.Assist with the safe administration of medication.Support service users with accessing the local community.Facilitate and support individuals to participate in meaningful activities employment learning and education.Uphold the principles of social care to ensure dignity and respect for all service users.Maintain accurate records and complete documentation as required by the service. Essentials: Experience or demonstrated ability to provide care and support to vulnerable adults preferably those with a learning disability.Experience in assisting individuals with personal care needs including washing dressing and medication support.Experience in planning and facilitating meaningful activities or community access for service users.
