Finance Manager – We Do Group Reading | Office based with some hybrid | SME | Hands on | Varied and commercial We would be open to someone who is qualified and has worked in an SME. Or someone who is QBE (Qualified by experience). We need someone who can drive to an office near Reading. This is mainly office based, at least 4 days a week – so wanting coffee, human interaction and air‑conditioning would be a benefit. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who wants a fun, varied and genuinely hands on Finance Manager role in a growing SME. Ideal for someone who enjoys everything from solid accounting and controls through to commercial support, analysis, business partnering and FP&A. This is a sub £25m turn over division of a larger group. You get the best of both worlds – hands on a chance to make an impact, but also with the backup and support of a larger group If you want a role where you can make an impact, improve processes, work closely with an FD and actually add value across the whole business, this will suit you perfectly. This role will involve directly supporting the local SLT. (MD, CEO, Ops Director etc) What you will be doing Own the management accounts, reporting and month end timetable Produce accurate financial statements, P&L, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis Deliver weekly and monthly cash‑flow forecasts Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles Support commercial and operational teams with insight, cost analysis and business partnering Improve processes, controls and reporting across finance and operations Work closely with the FD on planning, decision support and ad‑hoc projects Ensure high quality data, accuracy and consistency across all reporting Help drive margin improvement and profit growth across the business What we are looking for A capable, hands‑on finance professional with experience in an SME Management accounts background with strong commercial awareness Someone who enjoys variety, pace and getting stuck in Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills Able to communicate well with senior leaders, non‑finance teams and external partners A problem‑solver who enjoys improving processes and making things better ACCA or CIMA qualified, part‑qualified or qualified by experience Resilient, organised and comfortable juggling multiple tasks Why this role You get full visibility across the whole business You work closely with a supportive FD You get variety across accounting, FP&A, operations and commercial finance You get to improve things, not just report on them You will genuinely grow and develop with the business #J-18808-Ljbffr
