OverviewQuality Assurance TechnicianLocation: Geary's Bakers Ltd | Optimus Way | Glenfield | Leicester | LE3 8JRShift Pattern: 4 On / 4 Off, 6am - 6pmSalary: CompetitiveResponsibilitiesCreating and maintaining accurate, audit-ready, site and product-specific documentation to guide our teams in meeting required standardsReviewing all production paperwork, confirming information in real time, and ensuring it is completed accurately and in fullIdentifying any areas of improvement or additional training needs related to paperwork completionConducting legal compliance verification checks on site-wide equipment (such as temperature probes, scales and fridges) against a defined schedule, escalating any out-of-spec results and assisting in investigation and corrective action implementationConducting GMP / Glass and Hard Plastic and Fabrication audits to ensure hygiene levels are maintained, working with department leads to assess compliance and improve standards where necessaryReporting audit findings within the Internal Audit ProcedureCompleting PQE sessions to confirm product conforms to food safety, quality and customer requirementsConducting sampling and swabbing against site risk-assessed schedules; leading investigations when out-of-spec results are received to confirm cause and corrective and preventive measures as outlined in non-conformance procedureActing as subject matter expert for CCP controls, weight controls (in line with Weights and Measures Act 1985) and food safety and quality standards, delivering training and support to colleagues on all areas where necessaryAbout UsAt Geary's, we're on a crusade to make proper bread more accessible to more people.
