Specialising in a wide range of aerospace production capabilities, we are located in Basildon, Essex, and dedicated to precision manufacturing, treatments, NDT, and repairs of metallic aerospace parts and finished components. We are seeking a skilled professional to set up, operate, and optimise CNC milling machines, ensuring high‑quality, close‑tolerance components are produced to exacting standards. Key Responsibilities for the CNC Miller setter operatorSet up and operate CNC milling machines, including tooling changes and process adjustments, in accordance with engineering drawings and specificationsWork on 3 and 5 axis machinesExperience working with aerospace parts and working to ISO 50001/14001/45001/9001 standardsConduct first‑off and in‑process inspections using precision measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges)Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation for quality assurance and production trackingFollow all health and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment Requirements for the CNC Miller setter operatorMinimum 5 years' experience in CNC millingAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentsStrong mechanical aptitude and excellent attention to detailExperience in using a wide range of measuring and inspection toolsBackground in working to tight tolerances and quality control processesSelf‑motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a teamRecognised engineering apprenticeship, NVQ, or equivalent qualification is beneficial Benefits for the CNC Miller setter operatorAttractive competitive salary with overtime and shift allowancesBonus scheme and opportunities for progression20 days holiday plus Bank HolidaysFriendly and supportive working environment ContactIf you are proactive, quality‑driven, and ready to take the next step in your CNC machining career, apply now or submit your most up‑to‑date CV to n . lawry @ amlr. uk or to discuss how we can find you your next move within your chosen sector with one of the many career opportunities we currently have, Tel: (phone number removed) and ask for Naomi.
