NO AGENCIES PLEASE Main duties of the job The successful candidate will be working on one of our busy Outpatient Reception areas within the Dental Hospital. There are a total of 25 administration and clerical staff reporting to 5 senior clerical staff over five departments. Approximately 250 Dental Undergraduates in total. There are approximately 110,000 outpatient attendances per annum. Job responsibilities To provide an efficient and effective administrative service to patients and the multi-disciplinary team. Person Specification QUALIFICATIONS GCSE in English Grade C or equivalent or NVQ Level 2 or equivalent ECDL RSA 1 or 2 or equivalent SKILLS Very good keyboard skills Good communication, organisational skills Accuracy and attention to detail Good interpersonal skills Able to prioritise workload Excellent telephone manner EXPERIENCE Previous experience in a customer care role within an office based environment Working within NHS or hospital environment KNOWLEDGE Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office PAS / eRecord Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
