The Thames Water AMP8 Capital Delivery Programme covers a mix of projects ranging from smaller capital maintenance to large civil new build schemes. Working on a variety of water and wastewater projects across the Thames Water Framework you will be involved in the design, construction, commissioning and putting to work of contracts to ensure they are completed in the most efficient manner. You will play a vital part in the overall success of our business, and you will be joining a growing team with a strong reputation.The Group Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Department is responsible for ensuring that Costain operates in a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible manner through the implementation of the Group SHE Management System and Group SHE Plan. The Group SHE Management System provides a framework and standards for managing safety, health and environmental risks and opportunities and aims to prevent injury, ill health and provide a safe working environment and protect and enhance the natural environment in balance with socio-economic requirements throughout all our activities and operations. The departments' purpose is to protect employees, the community, and the environment while ensuring that Costain operates sustainably and complies with relevant legislation and regulations.#LI-BM1ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesSupport and Influence Contract Leadership Team, Clients, and other Stakeholders in compliance with the Group SHE Management System and Contract SHE PerformanceSupport and where required deliver training, to allow the contract team to successfully implement the Group SHE Management SystemCoach and support the Contract Operational and Supply Chain Contractors in the delivery of the Contract SHE requirementsWhere required be actively involved in the ongoing assessment of the Contracts Supply Chain ContractorsActively support the delivery of the annual Contract and Group SHE ObjectivesActively engage with the Contract SHE Assurance programme to ensure compliance with company and statutory requirementsActively support the investigation of all unplanned events and close out of assurance findings, ensuring lessons are shared in accordance with the Group SHE Management SystemSupport the timely reporting, analysis, and use of SHE data to support and influence the Contract Leadership Team and where required support the development and implementation of data-based improvement plansQualificationsEssentialTech.
