Client Services Director Work Type: Hybrid (2-3 Days in office) Are you a Client Services Director who is well-versed in working for independent creative, design and marketing agencies? Are you used to working in a fast-paced agency environment managing a mix of creative campaigns for FMCG, Health, Food and Beverage and other industry/sectors? Our client is a superb creative and design marketing agency that is growing, and we are seeking an established client services or account management professional to lead the client services department to success. Key Responsibilities: Numbers first: smash client fee targets while spotting opportunities to grow, reprice, and improve profitability. Client development: create and embed a culture of deep client understanding across the client services team, partnering confidently with brand leaders at the highest level. Team development: lead, support, and inspire the client services team. Invest in people’s growth, career paths, and confidence. Agency leadership: be a credible voice in strategic and commercial decision making. Contribute to agency strategy, direction, and budget setting. Champion creativity: sell, support, and protect the creative product—ensuring briefs are tight, budgets work, and clients keep coming back for more. Sales confidence: lead from the front in pitches, new business conversations, and proactive client development. Bring a track record (and ideally a black book) of relationships at the top level. AI advocate: be excited by the potential of AI for creative agencies. Share ideas, test and learn, and help shape how we can leverage AI for stronger client partnerships. Brand expertise: be fluent in brand strategy, design, and comms. Know how brands and agency ecosystems work—and how we as an agency add value. What you’re great at (aka core competencies) Are commercially sharp and numbers‑driven without ever losing sight of relationships. Have deep experience in creative agency life and know how to build long‑term partnerships, not just sell projects. Are an inspiring, authentic leader who can grow a team while balancing business needs. Are collaborative, open, and a genuine team player at leadership level. Can articulate creative work with clarity and passion. Are proactive, ambitious, and hungry to make a real difference in an independent agency with big plans. Bring curiosity and a point of view on how AI and other shifts in our industry are changing the game.
