CAMHS Nursing Executive is searching for a dedicated Matron to join our Directorate Leadership team and be at the heart of our children and adolescent mental health services. The modern matron will be an integral part of the Nursing, Quality and Assurance Team. The successful candidate will have exceptional communication, motivational and influencing skills being able to influence and encourage teams to work across organisational boundaries whilst holding patient care at the heart of their work. Main Duties What you'll bring: A Mental Nurse or RN (Mental Health) Degree or Equivalent professional qualification and experience in mental health care. A passion for supporting children and young people with mental health challenges. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to teamwork and collaboration. A strong work ethic and a dedication to providing high-quality care. Qualifications Registered Mental Nurse Extensive post-registration relevant continuing professional development. Desirable Leadership course at level 5 or above Experience Essential Relevant clinical and operational experience in inpatient Mental health services. Experience at a senior management/Clinical level, collaborating and working to improve service delivery. Experience of managing budgets and finances at a service level. Experience in completing audits and preparing reports/action plans Experience Desirable Experience of contributing at conferences and publications. Experience of participating in Quality improvement, transformation and/or research projects Knowledge Essential Knowledge of current professional developments in nursing and nurse education Knowledge Desirable Training in Coaching skills Skills Essential Excellent skills in managing tasks related to Trust flow including managing demand and capacity for patients' groups Ability to manage crises and conflicts effectively Skills Desirable Able to work on several projects simultaneously using project management skills Benefits Generous pay, pensions and leave.
