We have an exciting opportunity for a SACT giver to join our Trevor Howell Day Unit team. To provide leadership to a team administering Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies & supportive treatments to day case oncology & lymphoma patients. In this role you will be a professional role model, leading and coordinating the nursing team. To be able to safely coordinate the unit and ensure that there are education and training opportunities for all staff. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual looking to develop leadership skills within the Trevor Howell Day Unit. The successful applicants will join a highly skilled specialist team that offer treatments including SACT and supportive therapies to patients with solid tumours as well as malignant haematological conditions. The candidate will have a recognised SACT course, have experience in administering SACT and have venepuncture/cannulation skills. The post holder will be expected to provide and maintain high standards of care to our patients, meeting trust values, be able to work autonomously as well as part of a cohesive team and demonstrate the ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to this group of patients. You will need to be able to work well under pressure and cope with conflicting demands. If you are looking to develop your leadership skills, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
