We are currently recruiting for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work as part of a wider disciplinary team, offering educational and therapeutic support in a young person's home, as part of a bespoke EOTAS package based in Horsham, West Sussex. The role would be ideally suited to an individual with extensive experience of working with SEND adolescences outside of a school environment. You will be responsible for mentoring the student, therefore a strong understanding in Attention Hyper Deficit Disorder (ADHD), Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), and Autism (ASD) is essential. What You Will Be Responsible For You will be responsible for providing low-demand, educational support for up to 15 hours per week, within school hours (09:00 to 15:00), Monday to Friday, term time only. Work within a low-demand, interest-led, and emotionally safe environment. Assist in engagement, emotional regulation, and adapting to the changing needs of the individual you are supporting. Collaborate with tutors, therapists, and the wider team to ensure the provision is delivered as per the young person's EHCP. Accompany the student on outings and to community-based activities as required. Support learning through play-based and therapeutic approaches, using a child‑led approach. What We Are Looking For Experience supporting children with ADHD, ASD, and PDA. Familiarity with child-led approaches. Willingness to work flexibly as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and family. Comfortable working in a home-based and community setting. Essential Criteria 2+ years experience as an LSA/TA or in a similar child-facing support role. Clear Enhanced DBS (preferably on the Update Service). Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle; non-drivers should not apply. Desirable Criteria Training trauma-informed care.
