At Masterclass, we have been tasked in recruiting a **Learning Support Assistant** to join a SEN school we work with in the Worthing area. This school boasts state of the art equipment, large outdoor learning spaces and a dedicated team who ensure each young persons learning experience is engaging and fun.

The school are looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant who has the skills to develop into a valued member of staff for the individual needs of the children. You will be working with small groups of students in and out of formal lessons, with support from Teachers and other staff. You will be fully immersed into the life of the school and encouraged to be proactive in your role alongside your colleagues.

You will learn a lot in your role with extra training days and online training provided by the school and masterclass.

**Job role**:

- **To support the children’s development across all areas of their development**:

- **Support and encourage positive behaviour management**:

- **Work with groups of children or individuals (1-1) to support the class teacher in specific lessons.**:

- **Ensure a safe and secure environment enabling children to feel relaxed and happy**:

- **To establish positive relationships with the children and staff within the school**:

- **To be committed to inclusive practice and making sure every child has the chance to be the best they can be**:

- **To be able to provide personal care if needed**

**Must have**:

- Ability to work well independently and as a team
- Has a passion to support and empower children and young people
- A DBS on the Updates Service, or be willing to obtain one
- Commitment to safeguarding students and young people

**How to Apply**:
**Salary**: £320.00-£340.00 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Worthing, West Sussex: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Special education: 1 year (preferred)
