StructureCare are CPG’s Specialist in-house Contractor who are focused on the Repair, Maintenance and Protection of Buildings and Structures throughout the UK and are seeking to appoint a Technical Surveyor. This role forms an integral part of the technical team within StructureCare. The successful candidate will perform technical related field tasks including diagnostic surveys using thermographic and troxler equipment, and intrusive site investigation / surveys on refurbishment and new build projects, supporting all divisions within StructureCare (Roofing, Structural Waterproofing, and Structural Repair and Protection). The Person To be successful in the role we are looking for a person who can demonstrate: Job knowledge - Prior roofing inspection and diagnostic experience including patch and repair skills Construction and Testing - Showcase ability to carry out on-site testing with specialist equipment. Planning and Organisational skills - Ability to juggle multiple priorities and demonstrate good task management Collaboration - Good communication skills and the ability to work across various departments, with various stakeholders to achieve best outcome for both the business and its customers. Duties and Responsibilities Perform/assist with diagnostic roof inspections including Infrared, troxler, visual, & other inspection services along with related information gathering and verification tasks. Evening / early morning hours may be required. Assist with the creation of diagnostic CAD reports, pre-survey drawings, and technical reports to be issued to clients. Work with the Roofing team to coordinate staffing and scheduling of all Roofing employees in the respective regions to ensure proper utilisation of manpower on specific jobs for highest profitability. Collaborate with other Field Supervisors as necessary. Oversee the Quality Control (QC) process of all diagnostic jobs including the proper documentation to ensure that all work was completed properly, and that the customer is fully satisfied. Perform site investigation surveys to enable estimating and proposal department to accurately price jobs. Conduct core testing on car park / roofing projects as required Conduct peel adhesion testing as required on roofing projects Conduct adhesion / cohesive strength testing on any project as required Ensure surveys / testing are conducted in accordance with procedures set out by the business, utilising the relevant software / reporting formats. Assist in the creation of RAM’s for all surveys (diagnostic / site testing), ensuring the surveyor and other operatives are safe and compliant with RAM’s Requirements The successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Ability to work at heights (required) Due to the nature of the role, evening / early morning hours may be required. Ability to travel out of town, may include overnight travel (required) Motivated, enthusiastic and ability to work on own initiative Must have valid driver’s license Salary & Benefits A competitive annual salary.
