We are seeking a dedicated Chef to support the delivery of high quality meals that promote the health and wellbeing of our residents.What We Offer£13.61 per hourContracted to 35.25 hours per weekThree twelve hour day shifts worked over seven days on a rolling rotaWeekend and public holiday working included as part of the rotaPension scheme, Paid PVG, Uniform provided5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)What You Will DoYou will prepare, cook and present meals to a consistently high standard while ensuring that food hygiene, safety and dietary requirements are fully met. You will support the Head Chef with the day to day running of the kitchen and supervise Catering Assistants when required. You will maintain accurate records, ensure that equipment is used and cleaned safely, report any maintenance needs promptly, and follow all health and safety procedures. Your work will contribute directly to a positive dining experience that enhances residents’ comfort and wellbeing.What We Are Looking ForQualifications: (have or working towards)Level 2 Food Hygiene or aboveNVQ or SVQ Level 2 General Catering or equivalent, or working towardsExperience and SkillsExperience working in a commercial or care home kitchenAbility to prepare meals for large groups and adapt to varied dietary needsKnowledge of COSHH, health and safety and HACCP requirementsStrong teamwork and communication skillsAbility to maintain clear written records and follow proceduresComfortable engaging with residents in a respectful and supportive mannerCompetent IT skillsAbout UsDee ViewCourt Care Home is part of Care Concern Group, a family owned, market leading care provider with over 100 homes across the United Kingdom.
