We have seven GP partners as well asemploying practice nurses, salaried GPs and allied health professionals. We have a friendlyand dynamic team that is committed to providing high quality care to our localpopulation of 8,000 patients. We participate actively in research anddevelopment with RSI Level 3 accreditation. We also have in housephysiotherapy, podiatry, mental health and pharmacy services.Job responsibilities18-24 hours permanent role. You will be well supported within the general practicenursing team and provided with adequate training to meet the responsibilitiesoutlined below.Main responsibilities include.Performance of chronic disease management reviewsFacilitate investigations such as venepuncture, spirometryand 12-lead ECGsPerform cervical cytology screeningRoutine immunisationsChildhood immunisationsParticipate in activities to promote healthy lifestylesImprove uptake of screening services.Administration of intramuscular injections such as B12 ordepot contraceptive.Contraception and HRT reviewsMaintain accurate medical recordsOrdering and maintain practice stock of medical equipmentAttend and participate in practice meetings and Primary Careteam meetingsParticipate in quality improvement workFacilitate teaching and training of staffComplete annual performance reviewComplete home visits where appropriateChaperone and assist in minor surgery andcontraceptive services (IUD/implants).Person SpecificationQualificationsRegistered General NurseCurrent NMC registrationCompletion of cervical cytology smear taker courseRelevant diploma or qualification in practice nursingDriving licenceExperienceExperience of working within a nursing teamExperience of working in a GP practiceExperience of using EMISChronic disease management experienceUnderstanding of clinical governanceUnderstanding of QoFLong term condition managementVaccination and immunisation experienceDisclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
