Position Summary Neway International are seeking a PRS Lettings Negotiator to join our client based with London Borough of Lambeth. Location: Lambeth Civic Centre Hours: 35 per week (09:00 – 17:00) Start Date: 05/01/2026 Pay Rates: £23.51 PAYE / £30.67 Umbrella About the Client The London Borough of Lambeth is committed to tackling housing challenges and delivering innovative solutions to meet community needs. The Role As a PRS Lettings Negotiator, you will lead on securing private rented accommodation at affordable levels to meet housing demand. You will negotiate rents, authorise payments, and utilise the homelessness prevention fund to secure properties for a range of customer groups. This includes homelessness prevention and relief cases, move‑on from supported housing, and transition from temporary accommodation. You will also provide essential support to prospective tenants to enable successful tenancy starts. Key Responsibilities Negotiate with landlords and agents to secure private rented properties at affordable rates. Authorise payments and manage financial arrangements through the homelessness prevention fund. Ensure supply of properties for diverse customer groups including homelessness prevention, supported housing move‑on, and temporary accommodation transitions. Provide practical support to tenants to enable them to begin and sustain their tenancy. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with housing policies and procedures. Candidate Requirements Proven experience in housing, lettings, or property negotiation. Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build effective relationships. Knowledge of homelessness prevention strategies and housing legislation. Ability to manage financial authorisations and ensure compliance.
