Orthopaedic Clinical Lead - Chester Hospital Full time, Permanent contract, 37.5 hours per week Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum depending on experience. You must be registered with the appropriate governing body and possess the relevant qualifications and post‑registration experience in surgery/anaesthetics, including as a Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner. Responsibilities Conduct and organise the Clinical/Surgical and Endoscopy team within theatre, ensuring smooth running of the theatre lists and booking forms. Work collaboratively and flexibly across the theatre suites to accommodate the service demands of each department (Endoscopy, General, Orthopaedics, Gynae). Promote effective clinical risk management and governance within the department, including safety and risk management, quality improvement, and adherence to policies and procedures to enhance patient care and service delivery. Apply extensive knowledge for audits and equipment management. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of surgical techniques and associated equipment. Engage in continuous growth and personal development opportunities, including Surgical First Assist training. Qualifications Registered with the appropriate governing body. Relevant qualifications and post‑registration experience in surgery/anaesthetics. Experience as a Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner. Strong clinical leadership and communication skills. Organisational skills and ability to work as part of a team. Knowledge of running a smooth and effective department and equipment management.
