Static Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Job Description As a static multi‑skilled Building Services Engineer with mechanical qualification to a recognised level (City & Guilds), you would be required to undertake scheduled planned maintenance and reactive requirements in Eldon Square. Reporting into the Contracts Manager and working in partnership with all departments to deliver planned preventive maintenance, reacting to all repair work on the centre’s mechanical/electrical/fabric plant equipment and general property maintenance. Mobile phone, tablet and uniform would be provided. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned and reactive maintenance located in Eldon Square by the required attendance dates. Update the legal compliance documentation via a tablet (provided) to a high standard. Provide job/quote updates to satisfy the internal CAFM system which provides live updates to our client. Be included in a tech team shift rota covering the shopping centre opening hours. Participate in a callout rota after a successful probation period. Work a reasonable amount of overtime to satisfy our client when necessary. Location Eldon Square, Newcastle Hours Of Work Full time hours with overtime available. Essential Skills & Qualifications Experience performing works with mechanical pipework services, valves, motors, pumps, bearings, HVAC plant & equipment. Extensive experience in general building services industry relevant qualifications – e.g., plumbing repairs. Recognised qualification in at least one maintenance/engineering discipline. Carry out repairs/replacements of plant, fixtures and fittings as required. Carry out servicing and repairs of onsite plant, fixtures, and fittings. Organise various housekeeping tasks and arrangements. Desired Skills & Qualifications Vent‑/Unvented G3 qualification would be beneficial.
