Static Maintenance Team Leader Location: Eldon Square, Newcastle Key Responsibilities Provide a quality service at all times to the client by ensuring that work standards and materials supplied meet contractual specifications. Work to recognised industry standards. Carry out physically demanding tasks required by the business. Manage Elogbooks (internal facilities management system) for responsible sites. Carry out quality inspections. Respond immediately to reactive maintenance for equipment breakdowns. Fix faults on site or arrange replacement machinery or equipment. Participate in out‑of‑hours emergency cover as necessary. Work with the Maintenance Manager to establish planned and routine maintenance programmes and reporting procedures. Maintain personal and professional development, participate in training activities and keep current knowledge and qualifications to increase skills for yourself and the tech team. Undertake any other duties directed by the Maintenance Manager or the wider centre team. Adhere to company and external health and safety laws and policies. Review and manage staff rotas for the tech team and report issues to the Maintenance Manager. Deputise for the Maintenance Manager when absent. Work a shift rota covering shopping centre opening hours. Be part of a callout rota following successful probation. Essential Skills & Qualifications Relevant Technical Certification in Electrical Installation or Electrical Maintenance, or in Mechanical Maintenance. Electrical Inspection and Testing (2391) or 2394 certification. Experience in maintenance within a retail environment. Competent electrical fault‑finding and analysis skills. Previous team leader or supervisor experience. Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a diverse community. Competent IT skills for email and Microsoft Office. Methodical record‑keeping. Understanding and analysing electrical / mechanical systems. Hands‑on approach and problem‑solving. IOSH working from a safe working environment. ACOP L8 Legionella water hygiene. IPAF Certificate. Asbestos Awareness. Valid driving licence. Desired Skills & Qualifications Authorised person – LV. PASMA (Safe use of mobile access towers).
