Job Summary Clinical Support Worker position within our CAMHS inpatient service, Ancora House. Full-time, permanent or 12-month fixed term, working on a rotational shift basis that includes days, nights and twilight shifts. You will be part of a supportive, knowledge-rich multidisciplinary team and will provide high-quality care to young people, supporting them in education, offering observation levels, and liaising with external agencies and families/carers. Our agency, Cheshire and Wirral Partnership (CWP), pays an annual salary of £24,937 to £26,598 (pro-rated for part-time) and supplements below the Agenda for Change rate to the Living Wage. Key Responsibilities Support young people in educational settings and the routine of life in the community or centre. Provide observation and monitoring at the required level, keeping accurate records. Liaise with external agencies, carers and families to coordinate care. Apply the 6 C's – Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage and Commitment – in all aspects of practice. Assist in the planning and delivery of therapeutic activities and activities of daily living. Maintain confidentiality and follow CWP observation and mental health policies. Essential Qualifications & Experience Appropriate mental-health related qualification or willingness to complete an apprenticeship suitable to the Clinical Support Worker role. Commitment to progress to a mental-health related NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience once in post. Completion of or commitment to complete the Care Certificate (CWP in-house 2-day training within 3 months of start date). Demonstrated ability to provide good quality care while following Trust policies and procedures. Experience working collaboratively with colleagues, wider teams, service users and families (professional or lived experience). Knowledge of CWP observation policy, confidentiality issues and mental health legislation is desirable. Desired Attributes Qualifications in Health and Social Care or related disciplines. Previous experience of working with adults with severe mental health needs. Knowledge of mental health legislation and policies.
