OverviewWe seek experienced Production Chemists for adhoc/call out jobs for production/process operations offshore UKResponsibilitiesDemonstrate compliance to all test methods, procedures and quality systems essential for best practiceLiaise with appropriate Client support if a problem with equipment, methods or samples occurs and initiate corrective actions to ensure continuity of serviceIdentify and implement improvements to current laboratory operation/infrastructure in order to maximise equipment availability and effective operationsEnsure technical standards competence standards are maintained and continually improvedEnsure compliance with client equipment management requirementsEnsure adequate stock of consumables to ensure continuous productivityEnsure testing equipment is calibrated and safe/ suitable for useCompletion of daily, weekly and monthly routine sampling, analysis and reporting as per platform procedures/sampling scheduleMaintain organised and auditable systems of work to permit traceability and ensure complianceComprehensive understanding, knowledge of laboratory and analytical techniques and equipment to promote continuous improvement and provision of quality service to clientResolution of adhoc requests in a timely and effective manner to ensure effective operationsProvision of end of trip handover reports and additional reports as required to Client personnelProvide training and mentoring of additional team members as requiredSkills/ExperienceExperience of Off-shore Oil Industry related analysis encompassing a broad spectrum of methods and analysis to meet exacting process and client demandsOil in water trainingOil in sand trainingChemical Injection training on pumpsMust be computer literate in use of word and excelMust have and maintain knowledge of chemistry, analytical equipment and methodsMust have detailed knowledge of international analytical standards and operational procedures, understanding there-in and ensure laboratory processes adhere to said standardsQualificationsHND Degree level in chemistry or related science based subject, or equivalentFull Offshore industry standard training packageCertificatesOPTIO/NOGEPA or OLF Offshore survivalOGUK, NOGEPA or Norwegian Offshore MedicalShoulder MeasurementsSeniority levelNot ApplicableEmployment typeContractJob functionProduction, Science, and OtherIndustriesOil and Gas #J-18808-Ljbffr
