Join to apply for the Lead Resuscitation Officer role at NHS Ayrshire & Arran. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Resuscitation Officer within the Women & Children’s directorate. The post holder will lead, manage and develop the resuscitation service within the resuscitation training department, providing specialist knowledge, expertise and training in all aspects of paediatric and adult resuscitation to all clinical and non‑clinical staff working within the Women & Children’s directorate. Key Responsibilities Developing and implementing a comprehensive programme of education designed to enhance recognition and management of deteriorating patients and cardiopulmonary arrest in both paediatric and adult age groups, utilising national and international guidelines. Identifying and prioritising the placement of resuscitation equipment within the directorate and advising other external clinical sites on best practice, purchase options and works with directorate leads to establish required budget. Participating in protocol and policy development and ensuring information is cascaded at appropriate levels. Providing specialist knowledge, expertise and training in paediatric life support to parents, carers and organisations who care for children ‘at risk of collapse’ throughout the West of Scotland. Managing hours Monday to Friday.
