About the Maritime TeamHaskoning is a market leader in the international maritime design and consultancy sector. Our maritime staff work closely with colleagues from other specialisms to deliver projects regionally, nationally and internationally. About The Role We are looking to appoint an experienced individual to support business development UK‑wide. Some of the key responsibilities include: Responsibility to develop the current HaskoningDHV Maritime services Provide and communicate business opportunities within & across the business Implementation and execution of account management Business development support to UK regional offices Proactively identify and follow up on leads Visit clients to identify opportunities and secure work Undertake a strategic market review into the Maritime sector, including appraisal of clients, services, regions and identification of opportunities for profitable growth Share information across the UK regions and divisions to stimulate awareness of sector opportunities Coordinate with the Marketing and Communications Support Group to develop awareness and profile raising within the sector (exhibitions, publications etc) Develop own and company profile within the sector via committee membership, papers etc Member of the wider Business Unit management team and collaborate with other Business Managers and their teams on potential leads and delivery of business management and market consolidation Required Skills and Experience With excellent communication and presentation skills, you will have a proven ability to influence at senior levels. You should have: A strong track record of business development within civil engineering or infrastructure organisations, covering marketing, tendering and bid management, and customer account management Strong selling/marketing capabilities and ability to identify target clients and markets Ability to recognise and foster relationships to position the business as a prospective player in the infrastructure market Experience in the maritime and infrastructure sectors and a strong network of relationships Strong leadership skills and ability to lead and orchestrate client mapping, business development and strategic pursuits Excellent negotiation skills, proven track record of successfully pitching for new business Ability to influence, convince and partner with key internal stakeholders to achieve collaboration and shared strategy goals Experience in port development projects, marine consenting and digital products Experience of working within a matrix management structure Relevant accreditation (e.g., MICE / MIEE / MI Meche / MBA) would be beneficial What We Can Offer You Ambitious.
