Senior Youth Worker (Sexual Health) Please note this vacancy is only available to Birmingham City Council employees. JNC Professional Range Permanent Working 36.5 hours per week. You will based at the Lighthouse and have a city wide brief. Are you passionate about ensuring young people have access to opportunities and accurate information to enable them to make positive choices around sexual health and relationships? Birmingham City Council is seeking a dedicated Senior Youth worker (SYW) to join Birmingham Youth Service Children and Families. In this pivotal role you will support the delivery of sexual health and positive relationships with young people in youth centres, schools and localities across Birmingham. If you are a proactive leader with a commitment to improving the sexual health outcomes for children and young people we want to hear from you Responsibilities Deliver sexual health provision within the Youth Service. Work cooperatively with a team of youth workers. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with relevant organisations to strengthen outcomes for young people. Ensure implementation of systems across Birmingham Youth Service and deliver high-quality youth work. Collaborate with other SYW and stakeholders to promote creative partnerships and improve outcomes for young people. Contribute to planning and performance management across the delivery team and inspire the best provision to young people. Qualifications Degree level in Youth work with a JNC qualification. Significant experience in managing and leading staff in youth work delivery. Strong understanding of relevant policies, practices and national frameworks. Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage conflicting demands and work under pressure.
