Senior Youth Worker (Youth Voice and Influence)

JNC Professional Range 22 – 25 - £38,757 to £41,755

Permanent, Working 36.5 hours per week.

You will based at Maypole Youth Centre but will have a city wide brief.

Are you passionate about ensuring young people have opportunities to have their voice heard? Birmingham City Council is seeking a dedicated Senior Youth worker (SYW) to join Birmingham Youth Service, Children and Families Directorate.

In this pivotal role, you will support the delivery of youth voice across the service and the wider Directorate wi8th a focus on Children in Care. If you are a proactive leader with a commitment to improving the youth voice for young people, we want to hear from you

Your role will involve ensuring the implementation of systems across Birmingham Youth Service and the delivery of high-quality youth work to our young people.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with other (SYW) as well as stakeholders to promote creative partnerships and improve outcomes for young people. You will contribute to the planning and performance management across the delivery team and inspire and motivate the best provision to young people.

The ideal candidate will be educated to a degree level in Youth work with a JNC qualification They will have significant experience in managing and leading staff in youth work delivery. You should have a strong understanding of relevant policies, practices, and national frameworks along with excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills. The ability to manage conflicting demands and work under pressure is essential.
