Title: Senior Payroll Administrator Location: Harlow (Hybrid Working) Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience) Contract: Permanent Are you an experienced payroll professional looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a well-respected accountancy practice with a strong portfolio of UK clients, is looking for a Senior Payroll Administrator to join their established payroll bureau team based in Harlow. You’ll be part of a collaborative department responsible for managing a variety of client payrolls across multiple sectors. The role offers a mix of autonomy and teamwork, ideal for someone who enjoys the challenge of a busy, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and client service. The Role Processing multiple end-to-end payrolls for a range of clients Managing starters, leavers, statutory payments, and pension contributions Reviewing payroll data to ensure compliance with HMRC and RTI requirements Building and maintaining trusted relationships with clients Supporting junior team members and assisting with process improvements Using payroll software (experience with Star/IPP is highly desirable) What We're Looking For Strong background in client or bureau payroll processing Experience with Star Payroll / IRIS Payroll Professional preferred Excellent attention to detail and time management skills Strong communication and client relationship skills A proactive, problem-solving approach with the confidence to work independently CIPP qualification (or working towards it) is advantageous What's on Offer Competitive salary and benefits Hybrid working pattern (3 days in the Harlow office) Support for continued professional development A friendly, supportive team environment within a reputable accountancy firm If you’re looking for a role that combines technical expertise, client interaction, and genuine progression potential within a professional practice, this opportunity is well worth exploring.
