As a Business Development Executive here at Gateshead you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong and lasting relationships with new and existing customers and achieving sales growth for the customer based in your defined territory.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and build strong relationships with all customers, including regular face‑to‑face visitsRetain a full knowledge base of all of our stock, parts, accessories and pricing strategiesUtilise product presentations in order to effectively demonstrate our parts / accessories to potential customersAttend weekly 1‑to‑1s with your Centre ManagerMaintain accurate customer records using our AppProvide the highest level of customer serviceIdentify new opportunities within your territory and maximise results and sales opportunities through advanced preparation and planningKey Skills RequiredReal go‑getter with industry knowledge and demonstrable sales experienceAutomotive product expertise and a good technical understanding of automotive maintenance; previous experience working in an automotive parts department is desirableNatural and confident communicator with an excellent telephone manner; adept at negotiating, persuading and influencing key stakeholders in person and via the phoneCommercially astute, results‑driven, confident in using own initiative and planning your own diaryFull UK driving licenceAbout UsWe are one of the top three automotive retailers in the UK, proudly representing 32 manufacturer brands, selling a huge range of new and used vehicles from over 150 dealerships across the UK and Ireland.
