The Stroke Rehab Ward is a 20 bedded facility designed for stroke rehab patients. The unit is responsible for the assessment of patients that present with stroke and neurology symptoms and currently needing further therapy. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Nursing Assistant to support registered nurses providing cares to rehab stroke patients.We are looking for confident and caring candidates that are able to provide cares with dignity and compassion while supporting the patient through their recovery.The successful candidate will be dynamic, hardworking, exhibit excellent standards in communication and will be expected to lead and deliver high quality evidence based care. They will possess the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.The post holder will be supported in their professional development and will have the opportunity to develop within the role. In a near future we will be developing a training programme that might give you the opportunity to become a band 3 rehab Nursing AssistantThey will be part of the ward based team and be supported with relevant training needs. The role will cover day shifts and will include some night shifts and weekends on a rota basis.Good team work and communication skills are essential.
