Job summary: We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and innovative Band 7 clinical psychologist within the Psychological and Mental Health Services (PAMHS) at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).The post holder will work as part of a team of clinical psychologists within the Long Term Health Conditions Stream which provides a specialist paediatric psychology service to children and young people under the care of cardiology, respiratory, critical care, cancer, immunology, bone marrow transplant, and palliative care teams at GOSH. The post holder will primarily provide services into the cardiology service.The wide range of medical specialties covered provide an opportunity for working with a large range of different psychological presentations in a mixture of inpatient and outpatient work, and there are opportunities for developing expertise in working with medical MDTs, staff support, supervision, and service development.You will join a supportive team of psychologists working across these medical specialties whilst also being able to access the learning and opportunities that come with being part of a large psychology service at a leading children's hospital.Main duties of the jobThe postholder will be joining a team of clinical psychologists in the provision of a clinical psychology service to children and families cared for by the cardiology services at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
