Clinical Support Worker The closing date is 10 December 2025 Complex Care Team - Clinical support worker Band 3 - Permanent Post If you can deliver quality care to children and young people, then this is your chance to help them enjoy fulfilling lives as part of our Complex Care Team. Working as part of our dynamic and developing team, you will meet the needs of children requiring complex nursing care and ventilation within their own home environment. Your role will involve delivering personal care, fluid and nutrition often via gastrostomy's, medications, tracheostomy care, suctioning and catheterisation. Main duties of the job We are looking for a motivated team player who would be able to work in a community environment covering rotational day, night and also weekend, Bank Holiday shifts. We look after children across the Birmingham and surrounding areas including Stourbridge, Dudley and Walsall and you would be expected to be able to travel to these locations and will need to be mobile for travel to meet the requirements of this post. Shifts can start as early as 7am and nights as late as 10pm so please be aware of this when applying as public transport is not always feasible for some of the shifts. Person Specification Qualifications Math's and English Language GCSE A-C/9-4 or Level 2 functional skills/key skills in numeracy and literacy Completion of the Cavendish Care Certificate within the first 3 months of employment at BWC NHSFT Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social or Clinical Healthcare Support or equivalent experience Knowledge Previous experience working with children, young people or adults and have an understanding of care and compassion Access to a vehicle for travelling to work Analytical & Judgement Skills Be able to elevate problems when required and report back to supervising registered practitioner Able to recognise limitations Able to carry out instructions with diligence and accuracy, reporting back as required Professional Knowledge Excellent verbal and listening communication skills.
