Please see our guest website for further details of our facilities.The RoleJoin us in this new role of Business Development Manager with the key responsibility of proactively securing local business events for the hotel. This will be achieved by using your previous hotel sales experience to identify new opportunities, generate leads and strategic partnerships locally.Reporting to the onsite Sales and Events Manager, with close liaison with the hotel’s General Manager and the group Sales and Marketing teams.Key ResponsibilitiesMarket and opportunity analysisLead generation and prospectingRelationship managementSales and Proposal DevelopmentSales Pipeline and Target ManagementCollaborationYou will be working with and supporting in house sales team as well as the groups national/international sales team, and marketing team to ensure sales success.Your focus will be on the local area, and local business generation.Part of your remit will also include attendance at local trade and networking events to create contacts/sales leads for local businesses. Setting up/hosting local business networking events at the hotel should also be a focus to secure the increase in local business sales required.RequirementsPermanent role, 4 days, 32 hours per week. Flexible days based on activity required each weekPrevious sales generation experience in a fast‑paced hotel/events environment is essential to be consideredSmart appearance and friendly telephone mannerStrong negotiation and organisation skills with strong strategic thinking and analytical abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills in interaction within house teams and business clientsA confident self‑starter able to be proactive and resilient to deliver resultsProficiency with CRM software and other sales tools#events #revenue #sales #proactivesales #J-18808-Ljbffr
