Structural Engineer – Audi F1 Project Join the Audi F1 Project – Shape the Future of Motorsport Welcome to the Audi F1 Project. Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026. The new team has three locations: The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. We have recently opened Sauber Motorsport Technology Center in the UK. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations with support from the UK. What you need? The mindset of an athlete. Become part of this unique project and make motorsport history. This position is based at Sauber Motorsport Technology Centre in Bicester, UK. Who We're Looking For We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing and optimising the structural components of our Formula 1 vehicles to ensure maximum performance, reliability and safety. Your Mission Provide structural support on all stages of project development using HyperMesh and ABAQUS/Optistruct to ensure structurally efficient components. Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to deliver performance in a short timescale. Continuously improve and innovate structural analysis methodologies, tools and processes. Present results in a clear and concise manner. Your Profile Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. Knowledge of motorsport industry. Ability to use finite element analysis (FEA) tools. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Pragmatic with a distinct analytical approach. Highly self‑motivated, dedicated, creative and results‑oriented. Able to work independently with a very high attention to detail. Persevering, resilient, open‑minded, innovative and a team player with a strong focus. Ability to support the racing team on a few weekends during the season to help with unexpected problems with the software.
