We’re delighted to be working with a highly reputable company based in Oxfordshire, which is seeking an experienced Fire Engineer Consultant to join their growing team. Working hours: Full-time – 8:30 – 4:30 Hybrid (days in office vary) Overnight stays may be required (Expenses paid) The successful Fire Engineer Consultant will be offered: A basic salary between £70,000 – £85,000 Company car AND fuel allowance Pension scheme Expenses paid for Generous holiday entitlement Free on-site parking Career Progression To be considered for the Fire Engineer Consultant role, you must have: UK Driving License Must be flexible to commute to various areas in the UK, which can include but not limited to; Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Greater London, Bedfordshire… Degree in Fire Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering, Fire Engineering Science or related. In-depth knowledge of UK Building Regulations, British Standards and Wider Engineering Codes. Strong communication skills, written or verbal. Experience using fire engineering design and analysis tools (i.e smoke evacuation modelling software) Proven experience in developing fire strategies for complex or high-value building projects. Previous Post-Graduate Experience Essential. As a Fire Engineer Consultant, your role will involve: Undertaking fire risk assessments and developing detailed fire engineering strategies for new build, refurbishment, and change-of-use projects. Ensure fire safety compliance through detailed understanding and application of UK Building Regulations, British Standards and relevant international codes. Advise on escape routes, evacuation strategies, fire service access and structural fire resistance, while assisting clients in negotiations with fire authorities, building control, and other regulatory bodies. Prepare clear technical documentation. Collaborate with building surveyors. Work collaboratively with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and approving authorities to deliver fully compliant, fire-safe building designs.
