Senior Fire Engineer

**We are hiring a Senior Fire Design Engineer** We have a fantastic opportunity available for an organised, dedicated and communicative Senior Fire Design Engineer based around Bicester area, preferably with considerable experience within a similar role, as well as a recognised fire safety engineeringqualification to join the UK's leading provider of testing, inspection and compliance service, during a particularly exciting period of growth and development. My client's portfolio of work is diverse, and we work closely with our client base to ensure that we deliver the best support and solutions available. You'll get stuck in with a variety of different projects as part of your role, which you will work on autonomouslyand as part of our growing team. **This will include**: **>**Developing fire safety plan mark-ups **>**Undertaking fee proposals **>**Fire safety advisory work **>**Fire safety training **>**Fire Safety Strategy development **>**Construction phase fire safety strategy reports **About you**: We're looking for a proactive, flexible and reliable individual with a proven background in fire safety, preferably with an involvement and/or recognition with a professional body. With effective time and project management skills, you will be able to confidentlydeliver high quality advice, reports and fee proposals. You'll also have a proven track record of successful project management, confidently generating work through positive client relationships and commercial awareness. This is an important role within the business, and we expect you to maintain the high-quality standards that our clients have come to associate us with, from the initial enquiry through to the final submission of each report and the provision of continuedsupport thereafter. You must be passionate about fire safety and about helping our clients achieve compliance with relevant legislation, guidance and best practice through expert judgement and risk assessment. You'll need to possess exceptional interpersonaland communication skills and be able to work with clients in a friendly and supportive manner. **You will**: **>** Work alongside other senior fire engineering staff, be responsible for completing six-monthly/annual appraisals for fire engineers within their remit **>**Monitor and maintain high levels of quality in all fire engineering areas **>**Help to drive the technical development of the fire engineering team **>**To contribute to, and work within, the allocated budget agreed with directors **>**Provide encouragement, support, supervision, training and guidance to staff within their remit of control **>**In conjunction with senior staff, be aware of all fee quotes issued, communicate regularly with all persons responsible and facilitate delegation where necessary **>**Liaise directly with client and project stakeholders **>**Support design teams in a suitable format (reporting, marked up drawings, meetings, telephone call etc) **>**Have a clear understanding of fire safety issues and provide well supported fire engineered solutions through the selection of appropriate options, methods and tools **>**Work reliably and effectively with others, manage time effectively and operate within the limits of competency **>**Contribute to sustainable development and the evolution of the fire engineering discipline **>**Ensure that records are maintained to determine that the company's Quality Procedures, service levels and contractual requirements are being met **>**Undertake other duties within the competence of the post holder, as may be reasonably required from time to time. **Qualifications and Experience**: **>**A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (specifically, mechanical, structural or a similar field) **>**A postgraduate fire engineering qualification (certificate, diploma or masters) **>**Working towards or have achieved Chartership with IFE (Institute of Fire Engineers). updated accordingly **Details**: Very competitive salary £45k - £55k dependant on experience Valuable Benefits Working in their Bicester Branch Generous Holidays High Street Discounts Working with a growing dynamic company
