To work in the United Kingdom, applicants must demonstrate the relevant permission to work in the country. Responsibilities Participate in the 24/7 working system. Participate in Continuing Professional Development. Perform bacteriology duties in the Bacteriology Laboratory. Complete internal training as scheduled prior to progression to Band 6. Adhere to legal and regulatory requirements for criminal record checks and the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme. Qualifications HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist. Significant bacteriology experience. Completed IBMS Specialist Diploma in Microbiology. Ability to undertake 24/7 shift work. Commitment to ongoing professional development. Training & Compensation During 12 months of training: 75% of the qualified rate. During 13–24 months of training: 70% of the qualified rate. During 25–36 months of training: 65% of the qualified rate. After 36 months of training: 60% of the fully qualified rate.
