Bank Staff Nurse Emergency Department (A&E) We are looking for a dedicated Bank Staff Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. Job Summary Applicants must be able to evidence a minimum of 6 months NHS Emergency Department experience as a bank registered nurse. You will provide high‑standard, patient‑centred care to adults with acute health needs, working independently as part of our multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the smooth running of the department. Key Responsibilities Deliver specialist, high‑quality nursing care and support for adult patients and their relatives/carers. Appropriately delegate duties to other staff for effective delivery of patient care. Provide timely nurse‑led interventions for the benefit of patient care. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care of patients from admission to discharge. Participate in the effective admission, transfer and discharge processes involving families, carers, multidisciplinary and community teams. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Minimum 6 months Emergency Department experience as a bank registered nurse. Current NMC registration. Experience with acute nursing within the NHS. Desirable: Completed ED course. Trauma course. Other Requirements Applicants must have current UK professional registration. A Disclosure and Barring Service check, subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, is required.
