Senior Staff Nurse – Emergency DepartmentPlease note this vacancy will close early if a high volume of applications is received.OverviewThe Emergency Department (ED) is one of the busiest in London. Alongside a co‑located Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC), it sees approximately 135,000 patients per year, including nearly 30,000 children and young people. As a Major Trauma Centre (MTC) for South East London and Kent, the ED receives patients from two ambulance services and two air ambulance providers. It is one of the few centres in London to have its own designated helipad, which is operational 24 hours a day to receive trauma patients. The ED is also a regional centre for Hyper Acute Stroke, the Institute of Liver Studies, and primary angioplasty.
