We are looking for a Psychiatrist to join our Bournemouth CAMHS team. Responsibilities As a Psychiatrist you will provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team, alongside a clinical service manager, team leads and consultant colleagues. Medical leadership is valued within the team and there is recognition that effective leadership improves all aspects of a service. Clinical aspects of the post arise from an overall role to lead the team in the provision of effective assessment and treatment services for patients aged up to 18 years. All referrals to community CAMHS are screened and assessed by the Gateway team before being passed on to Specialist CAMHS if appropriate. As a senior professional your role will naturally include activities supporting both direct clinical contacts and service delivery. The role includes a focus on supporting improvements in the process of transition to the adult mental health services as and when appropriate. Everyday you’ll have the opportunity to make a long‑lasting difference and the privilege of working with young people in the local community. Qualifications & Requirements This role is part‑time. Consultant – you must be on the GMC Specialist Register (including via CESR/European Community Rights) or will have a CCT/CESR(CP) date within 6 months of interview. It is essential that you will be expected to maintain Section 12(2) and be an Approved Clinician. Benefits & Opportunities If you refer a friend or family member who is appointed by the Trust and completes their probationary period you will receive a £500 reward payment for the introduction. The role includes the possibility to take up posts within the Medical Leadership Team, including Medical Education for 1 or 2 PA if a non‑clinical role is of interest to you. We can provide a generous relocation package of up to £10,000 if you are interested in moving to Dorset. About the Trust At Dorset HealthCare we’re on a mission to empower people to make the most of their lives through our outstanding, joined‑up healthcare services. We run 12 community hospitals, specialist inpatient facilities and a wide range of integrated community and mental health services for a population of almost 800,000 people. It’s one of the reasons the CQC rated us 'outstanding' in 2019. It’s also why 95% of patients across our services say they have a good or very good experience of our services and 89% of staff feel they can really make a difference. Our workforce of 7,000 people is at the heart of what we do. We believe in equal opportunities and celebrate diversity.
