Overview Our inpatient CAMHS is expanding to include a brand-new purpose‑built 8‑bed High Intensity Environment/PICU opening in 2026 in Bournemouth. Key Responsibilities Assessment and treatment planning for patients with complex presentations. Direct face‑to‑face time with patients, meeting families and community staff. Review records, write clinical reports and carry out tribunal work. Participate in daily meetings with ward staff and CPA, and discharge planning meetings. Work alongside another Consultant Psychiatrist, continuing in the General Adolescent Unit or moving to the new PICU when opened. Qualifications & Requirements Consultant Psychiatrist with experience in CAMHS. Approved Clinician and maintenance of Section 12(2) registration. Experience working with children and young people, including those with intellectual disabilities and forensic CAMHS caseloads. Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills. Benefits £20,000 Enhanced Recruitment and Retention payment, paid as two lump sums. Relocation package of up to £10,000 if relocating to Dorset. 10 days per year of study leave and study leave budget up to £1,000. Flexible working, career development opportunities and NHS benefits.
