OverviewOur client is a leading environmental and geo-environmental consultancy and provider of specialist risk management and compliance services, operating across a diverse range of sectors including infrastructure, construction, and the built environment. With a strong reputation for innovation and integrity, they seek passionate individuals to contribute to projects that make a meaningful impact on safety and sustainability. As an Associate Geotechnical / Geo-Environmental within their team in Manchester, you will take a leadership role in managing the environmental aspects of land assessments, remediation, and development projects.ResponsibilitiesManaging and overseeing site investigations, contaminated land assessments, and environmental risk assessments.Designing and implementing remediation strategies to mitigate contamination risks for development sites.Providing technical leadership to the team on geo-environmental matters, including soil and groundwater analysis, pollutant linkage assessments, and regulatory compliance.Leading project teams and coordinating the delivery of work within time and budget constraints.Collaborating with clients, regulators, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.Writing and reviewing technical reports, including Phase I and Phase II environmental assessments, remediation method statements, and validation reports.Supporting business development activities, contributing to tender submissions, and identifying new business opportunities.RequirementsDegree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related discipline.Extensive track record (8+ years) in geotechnical or geo-environmental consultancy, particularly in land contamination and remediation.Chartered or working towards chartership (e.g., CEnv, CGeol, CSci) is desirable.Proven track record in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.In-depth knowledge of contaminated land regulations and background in preparing remediation strategies.Strong communication skills, with background in liaising with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.On offerCompetitive Salary25 Days annual leave in addition to bank holidaysEmployer matched pension contribution schemeLife assuranceEmployee Assistance ProgrammeDiscounts & cashback benefitHealthcare cashback schemeEnhanced parental leaveTo apply for the position of Associate - Geotechnical / Geo-Environmental, please submit your current CV (ideally in Word format).Due to high volume, we are unable to acknowledge every application.
