Cambridge, United Kingdom Jimmy's Cambridge Full time

Are you laser focussed on the detail? A natural planner? Interested in social justice, homelessness and housing? Unafraid to speak up and out? Then look no further, because you’ve found your next job At Jimmy’s Cambridge we are looking for a brand new Project Officer. We are not looking for reams of experience, we really just want the right person. At the heart of what we do is providing gold standard accommodation and 24/7 wrap around support for individuals experiencing homelessness in Cambridge. The role initially will support getting our operations and logistics up to full capacity, supporting planning, laying the foundations for processes and procedures. Calling out where we could be more efficient or do things differently to improve the experience of our residents. Mid to longer term, having been successful in supporting operations the role will transition to working directly with the CEO – Natasha Davies on the future of the organisation. You will be involved from the beginning in this fascinating drive for systemic social change, with the intention of training and developing into a Project Manager. We want to invest in the right person, so full training and any applicable qualifications will be offered (LEAN Six Sigma / Prince / Agile etc.). You may come from any background and any level of experience, first and foremost you will share our vision that no one should have to sleep rough on the streets of Cambridge. You will be passionate about social justice, unafraid to speak out and push the boundaries. You will quite like processes and procedures, and you are the type of person that can see both the trees and the woods. You can see through the fog to see what needs to be done, how and when. We love families and carers, so if you have a family and / or caring responsibility the job can work around you. We definitely need you to learn Jimmy’s from within, so while you need to be on site (three days per week) to ensure you get to know us and how we work, we can be flexible around where and how you work. To apply send us your CV (if you don’t have many fancy qualifications or a large work history – that’s ok, tell us what you want us to know) maximum of two pages and one page on why you are interested in the role. Interviews will be held in person on 18th December 2025 at our hostel – 451 Newmarket Road, Cambridge. You will be interview by Natasha Davies CEO and Peta Mitchell Finance and HR Administrator. The interview will be approximately 45 mins and you will be asked to complete a short task during the interview to assess your attention to detail and ability to spot mistakes. This is not a pass / fail task – and you should not worry about this element, we will talk you through it, and be available. If you have any access needs, or requirements / asks to ensure you have the best interview experience possible, please just get in touch – we have no issue with keeping the room quiet, moving distracting items out of the way, sitting a certain way, sending you photos of the room layout in advance – whatever you need, please just let us know. Applications will close Wednesday 10th December at 12 noon – please apply via email to recruitment@jimmyscambridge.org.uk #J-18808-Ljbffr
