If you’re someone who naturally brings warmth, energy and creativity wherever you go, and you love the idea of making each day meaningful for our residents, this could be the perfect role for you.What You’ll Be DoingAs our Domestic/Laundry Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in enriching the lives of residents by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the premises and ensuring the efficient laundering of clothes, linens and other washable items. The role contributes to a safe, clean and pleasant environment for residents, staff and visitors.Laundry DutiesCollect, sort and wash laundry items (e.g., clothing, bed linen, towels).Operate washing machines, dryers and ironing/pressing equipment safely and efficiently.Fold, iron and store laundered items appropriately.Label or identify personal laundry if required.Ensure infection control procedures are followed.Report any faulty laundry equipment or maintenance issues.Domestic / Cleaning DutiesClean designated areas including bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas and kitchens.Vacuum, dust, mop, disinfect surfaces and remove rubbish as needed.Refill supplies such as soap, toilet paper and paper towels.Follow cleaning schedules and procedures according to hygiene and safety standards.Notify supervisor of any hazards or repairs needed in the premises.What We’re Looking ForWarm, approachable and brimming with positivity.Organised and reliable.Creative, enthusiastic and able to motivate others.Passionate about improving the lives of older people.Able to work flexibly across some evenings and weekends.Previous experience in a care setting is a bonus, but we’re just as interested in your personality and values.What We OfferA friendly, supportive and welcoming workplace.Real opportunities for ongoing training and career progression.A chance to make a meaningful impact in people’s lives every day.A valued role within a close‑knit team that cares as much about each other as we do our residents.If you believe that kindness and compassion should be at the heart of care, we’d love to hear from you.
