About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a crucial part in keeping lessons running smoothly when teachers are absent. You won’t be expected to plan lessons—your job is to guide students through the work provided and maintain a positive, productive atmosphere.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Overseeing classes of secondary-aged pupils

Delivering pre-set lesson materials

Encouraging engagement and supporting pupils where needed

Managing behaviour in line with school policies

Creating a calm and structured learning environment

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

Holds a degree (any subject) or has solid experience working with young people

Can communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure, and adapt quickly

Brings a positive attitude and strong presence to the classroom

Has experience in education, youth work, coaching, tutoring, or similar (desirable but not essential)

If you’re confident and motivated, we can help you succeed—even if this is your first role in a school.
