Private Client Tax Senior - Ipswich Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Private Client Tax Senior to join their respected accounting firm based in Ipswich. As a Private Client Tax Senior in Ipswich, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of private clients, delivering high-quality compliance, advisory, and tax planning services tailored to their needs. This Ipswich‑based role offers an excellent platform to advance your career within a collaborative and supportive team. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of private client tax compliance, including Self‑Assessment tax returns, trusts, estates, inheritance tax, and capital gains tax matters. Review tax returns prepared by junior colleagues and provide constructive feedback. Advise private clients on tax planning opportunities including lifetime tax planning, estate and succession planning, and trust administration. Act as a key point of contact for private client matters within the Ipswich office, maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring exceptional service delivery. Support the development and training of junior team members in the Ipswich office. Stay updated on changes to tax legislation impacting private clients and share knowledge with the team. Required Experience ACA and/or CTA qualified (or equivalent), with strong practice experience in private client taxation. Proven ability to manage private client tax portfolios within an accountancy firm setting. Strong technical knowledge of personal tax legislation, including inheritance tax (IHT), capital gains tax (CGT), and trust taxation. Excellent communication and client management skills to effectively liaise with high‑net‑worth individuals and their advisers. Desired Experience Experience working in private client services within an Ipswich or regional accounting firm. Familiarity with probate, succession planning, and trust administration.
