Private Client Tax Manager

Ipswich

A respected accountancy firm is seeking a Private Client Tax Manager to join its Ipswich office. This position offers the opportunity to take a key role within an established Private Client Tax team.

The successful candidate will manage a range of private client tax matters, provide high-quality technical advice, and support the progression of the team. Working closely with senior leadership, you will ensure the delivery of accurate, compliant tax work while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advice on personal tax compliance, planning and structuring.
  • Manage a portfolio of private clients, ensuring high levels of service and accurate delivery.
  • Review and sign off complex or higher-risk work.
  • Lead, mentor and support members of the tax team.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and provide clear, practical guidance to clients.
  • Contribute to business development through meetings, proposals and networking.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to deliver coordinated client support.
  • Assist with recruitment, training and the ongoing development of the team.
  • Represent the firm's standards and professional values.

About You

  • CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
  • Significant experience in private client tax within a practice environment.
  • Proven leadership or team management experience.
  • Strong commercial awareness and confidence engaging with clients.
  • Able to manage changing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Clear, confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with CCH software is an advantage.
