We can’t wait to hear from you About the role As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will support children and young people (ages 5-18) through early intervention and prevention activities. Your work will take place in schools, community venues, and Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind buildings. Key responsibilities Support children and young people through 1:1 supported self‑help sessions. Run group sessions, workshops, and mental health awareness assemblies. Help children and young people develop emotional resilience. Provide information about mental health to young people, parents, carers, and professionals. Listen to young people and ensure their voices are included in their support plans. Manage a caseload of clients, with support from your manager. Help children, young people, and families connect with community resources. Complete necessary data collection, including assessments and evaluations. Support the Rise Navigation Hub by helping process referrals. Experience working with children, young people, and families. The ability to engage and communicate well with young people. Knowledge of children’s mental health. A commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion. A commitment to listening to and involving young people in decisions about their care. Good verbal, non‑verbal, and written communication skills. Full driving licence and vehicle access for travel around Coventry and Warwickshire. Flexible working – Core hours are Monday – Thursday 9:00 am – 4:30 pm, and Friday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm Pension – Minimum 5% employee and 3% employer contribution, with an ethical investment policy option. Sick pay – On completion of a 6-month probationary period, Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind employees will be eligible to a period of paid sick leave.
