About the Role:
As a Maintenance Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our student accommodation. Your responsibilities will include:
General maintenance tasks such as unblocking sinks and replacing light bulbs.
Assisting with routine fire alarm testing to ensure safety compliance.
Responding promptly to maintenance requests from residents to enhance their living experience.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work and is committed to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for students.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out general maintenance tasks effectively and efficiently.
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
Conduct regular checks on facilities and equipment.
Assist in maintaining a safe environment by supporting fire alarm testing.
Keep maintenance records up to date.
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience in maintenance or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with students and staff.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to maintenance work.
